Website Programming

Many sites these days display dynamic content - information that changes depending on user interaction or date. Typical examples could be a blog or news site, or a shopping site with an online catalog or shopping cart. Often many of these sites have the ability to leave comments and reviews or have voting systems.

In order to implement these features sites normally use a back-end database product, such as MySQL, and a scripting language, for example PHP, to retrieve and store content.
